Here is another computer we fixed up for the Blue Ridge Independent Living Center. This Dell should find a good home for someone.

PATCH89

IBM had donated two computes to Greenvale in the past and we worked on one of them. The other computer must have gotten upset and stopped working. This is a picture of the computer brought back to life and being used. http://www.kidsmartearlylearning.org/

PATCH88

We had built six for the learning lab but we had more kids that wanted to join the class so we squeezed in another computer so we now have seven. We were glad to add one more and be able to help another kid.

PATCH87

This computer was an older one we saved for my mother-in-law. She is on disability and loves to play the games on the computer. It is not hooked to the internet so we did not put an antivirus.

PATCH86

The computer in the three year old class would not turn on. It took us some time to try and configure this computer for these kids to try and build it in a way that is usable but at restart could reset itself back to the original form. We used SteadyState from Micrsoft to do this and we will track progress to see if this worked.

PATCH83

This computer was another one from a co-worker that we were able to fix up and then donate it back to them to give to a special needs child at their daughter's school. We love when this happens since the person donating the computer can see where it is going.

PATCH82

This has been a busy week for PatchX but we love to see great pictures come back from a computer delivered. This computer was donated by a co-worker and he was able to find a family as well to give the computer to once we finished our work.

PATCH81

We recieved this computer from our friends over at TwoRobs. We had to put some memory in there so we can load it down with games and other softeware items. We found a good home for a grandmother to give to her granddaughter.

This computer is pretty special as I was able to deliver it on my birthday. One of the families we donated a computer to last year neighbor's daughter would play on it when she was at their house. She did not have a computer at her house so we fixed one up for her.

PATCH76

There was an open slot when the Imac we built for Greenvale School decided to stop working. We put a couple of new games on the computer and brought it over before Christmas. The computer on the right is Patch76 but once I pulled out the camera a couple of the other girls playing games wanted in the picture. No problem at all and it seems from the picture SuperTux seems to be a popular choice.

PATCH75

This computer is the last of six that were rebuilt for the Greenvale Learning Lab. It was very exciting to see the last computer being installed. The lab will be a wonderful resource for Greenvale.

PATCH74

This computer is the fifth of six that were rebuilt for the Greenvale Learning Lab. We sort of went zig zag in setting these up. The last computer will be replacing the tube monitor on the right.

PATCH73

This computer is the fourth of six that were rebuilt for the Greenvale Learning Lab. If you saw the pages for the other computers you will see poor Patch73 here finally got a flat panel monitor.

PATCH72

This computer is the third of six that were rebuilt for the Greenvale Learning Lab. The front computer on the right with the flat panel is Patch72. The art around the computers was painted by a lady who works at Greenvale. They really add to the room.

PATCH71

This computer is the second of six that were rebuilt for the Greenvale Learning Lab. It is right behind the tube monitor with the froggy.
